GIPS IP Network Simulator
The GIPS IP Network Simulator is a software tool that allows the user to emulate network behavior by delaying and/or dropping packets in an IP-network. Installed in a laptop it can be placed between two LAN’s, two gateways, or any two IP devices and simulate the network conditions experienced by the two end-points. The GIPS IP Network Simulator enables the user to recreate realistic network scenarios on the fly by enabling the built-in delay/drop scenarios. They were developed using the VoIP technology and network behavior expertise of Global IP Solutions associates. Users can also create personal scenarios or load scenarios from files.
Compatibility and inter-operability between the GIPS software tools is possible. For example, the GIPS IP WorkBench can be used to send traffic and record the experienced network behavior. This information can be saved in files, which can then be used in the GIPS IP Network Simulator to reproduce that particular network behavior. If you are a member please Click here to download! GIPS IP WorkBench
The GIPS IP WorkBench is a software tool developed for evaluating VoIP networks. It enables the user to load the network with a typical traffic profile, and then perform real-time measurements of important quality indicators such as packet loss and jitter. The GIPS WorkBench allows users to emulate realistic traffic patterns in an IP network. This traffic consists of TCP traffic and RTP traffic, where one part of the traffic works as background load and the other part is probed and analyzed in real time.
