The GIPS Developer Community consists of the needed software libraries and VoIP speech codec components in order to quickly develop a high voice quality VoIP application in Windows PCs and Mobile devices. From this community, you can access and use to the following Global IP Solutions Software:

VideoEngine PC Lite, VoiceEngine Lite, and VoiceEngine Mobile Lite 

VideoEngine PC Lite, VoiceEngine PC Lite, and VoiceEngine Mobile Lite are simplified versions of the award winning products within the GIPS VoiceEngine family.  GIPS VoiceEngine is the core voice processing technology used by Google Talk, Skype, Nortel, Yahoo, Samsung and many other major VoIP providers.

The GIPS Developer Community also provides example code to create GUI, call setup, etc. in order to quickly create your own application. Further, you can also download ready applications using the VoiceEngine Lite software for quick test and for reference implementation.

In addition, the GIPS Developer Community cooperates with different partners where you can find the example code to simplify the integration between GIPS VoiceEngine Lite and the partner software. You will find more details on the different supported SW components and documents under each product. 

VoIP Test Tools

• GIPS Network Simulator is a tool to create a realistic test environment for VoIP applications to allow customers to gain a better understanding of their products and services under different network conditions.
• GIPS WorkBench is a tool to generate network traffic to allow network providers and equipment designers to load record and analyze the real-world network traffic data.

Limitation

The GIPS software on the GIPS Developer Community is governed by the legal terms specified in the Legal section. In addition, the libraries (GIPS VoiceEngine Lite, GIPS VoiceEngine Mobile Lite, and GIPS VoiceEngine Multimedia Lite) are limited with a time parameter setting (computer clock) enabling usage for approximately three (3) months.  The practices of VoIP Test Tools are one month duration. Extend the time limitation by downloading additional free software when GIPS releases downloads with new time limits.
